レスリーチャンの勤めるレストラン主人が
レストランを賭けて
満漢全席対決をすることになった矢先倒れる
主人の娘アニタユンとレスリーチャンはなんとかしようとがんばるが

彼の話では自分は作れないが満漢全席を作れる幻のシェフがいるという
という感じでションシンシンとケニービーの戦いになっていくわけです
最初はアニタユンのあまりに痛い格好にこれはヤバイ外したかなと思いましたが
話が進むに連れだんだん面白くなってきました
最後の対決は料理の鉄人豪華食材版って感じで
カンフーライクで華麗な調理アクションも多数出てきますが
あくまでもカンフーではなく料理のできを審査員が審査して決まります
よくできた料理ドラマです
ツイハークということでありえないSFXを期待しておられる方にはちょっと普通過ぎるかもしれません

イイ味出してる、スタミナ料理！
登場人物全てが「いい味」出してます！
山口百恵の住むカナダ（え？？）へ移住するために、
是が非でもコックの資格をとりたい、
叔父貴（ヤクザ）の家業手伝いサン=レスリー・チャン、彼が実際に山口百恵のファンだったのは結構有名。
おきゃんで行動力抜群の「満漢楼」の放蕩娘ガーウェイ=「金枝玉葉」でレスリーと絶妙のコンビネーションを見せた、アニタ・ユン。
以下、怪オヤジをやらせたら香港一の、ローガーイン演じる「満漢楼」の主人。ハンサムなのに、情けない男が何故か好く似合う、ケニー・ビー演じる元中国一の料理人。
更に、さすが徐克監督作品！？アクションスターの趙文卓と熊欣欣のワンチャイコンビもバッチリ登場、趙文卓は若き凄腕料理人、
熊欣欣は超料理集団のボス（キッ!チリ悪人）二人のバトルもチョットだけ有ります。
これだけ役者が揃っていて、面白くないわけが有りません、
スタートからクライマックスの満漢全席対決まで、全部美味しくいただけます！
タイトルバックに流れる、数々の料理食材の映像とテンポの好いテーマソングを聴いているだけでも、みるみる元気が出てくる一品です。

快楽！
まさに娯楽映画。ドタバタ劇ではありますが、伊豆の踊り子のパロディーが出てきたり、日本語がちらりと聞こえてきたり…日本とほんのちょっと関わってくれてるところも笑える要素の一つ。また中華料理の芸術性も同時に学ぶことができます。シリアスからコメディーまで何でもこなすレスリー･チャンに脱帽。この作品の中の彼は相当楽しそうです！
